Help young carers learn to cook, thanks to Co-op

We’re excited to be part of the Co-op Local Community Fund, allowing co-op members to increase the support young carers receive. 

By choosing Young Carers Support as your cause, you’ll be helping us raise funds to run cookery workshops for up to 100 young carers. These workshops will teach practical skills like cooking nutritious meals on a budget, understanding food hygiene, and making healthy choices. It’s also a chance for young carers to build confidence, make friends, and take a break from their responsibilities in a safe, supportive environment. 

How to Support Us:

Vote online 

• Visit our cause page 
• Create a Co-op account if you haven’t already  
• Select ‘choose this cause’ 

Vote by phone

• Call co-op's membership team on 0800 023 4708
• Create an account and ask to select Young Carers Support as your cause. 

Vote through the app: 

• Download the Co-op app on your phone 
• Create an account 
• On the homepage, tap ‘Choose a Cause’ 
• Scroll down and select Young Carers Support
