Loneliness Awareness Week (17–23 June 2025) is a UK-wide campaign that shines a light on something many carers experience but often don’t talk about: feeling lonely.
Caring for someone can be rewarding—but it can also be isolating. You may have lost touch with friends, stepped back from work or social life, or simply feel that others don’t understand what you're going through. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Run by the Marmalade Trust, this year’s theme is "Random Acts of Connection"—a reminder that small moments of connection can make a big difference. Whether it’s a short chat, attending a group, or reaching out to a friend, every step helps break down loneliness.
