New Walk and Talk Groups for Carers – With and Without the Person You Care For

18th June 2025

We’re excited to announce two new Walk & Talk groups starting soon—offering carers in Bristol and South Gloucestershire a chance to connect, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors.

These friendly walking groups are designed to support carers’ wellbeing through gentle exercise, conversation, and community. If you know a carer who might benefit, please do spread the word!

Brislington: For Carers and Their Loved Ones with Dementia

Mondays – 7, 14, 21 July; 4, 18 August; 1 September

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Brislington (exact meeting point shared upon registration)

This group is open to carers and the person they care for. In partnership with Alive, some sessions will include a gentle introduction to gardening at the Alive allotment—perfect for those living with dementia. It’s a relaxed, supportive space to enjoy nature and meet others who understand the caring journey.

Bedminster: Just for Carers

Tuesdays – 1, 8, 15, 22 July; 5, 19 August

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Bedminster (exact meeting point shared upon registration)

Explore the green spaces of BS3 with fellow carers. These walks are a great way to boost your wellbeing, spot local wildlife, and enjoy a friendly chat with others who understand the challenges of caring.
