Khaas runs regular wellbeing sessions such as keep-fit, yoga, healthy cooking, and alternative therapies, which have been shown through our evaluations to make a real difference to participants’ health and wellbeing. We also invite health professionals to lead discussions on topics including breast cancer, hypertension, heart health, menopause, mental health, and general wellbeing. In addition, we occasionally offer practical workshops on areas like reflexology, aromatherapy, blood pressure checks, and diabetes.

A specialist charity serving BAME disabled children, their siblings, families, and carers in Bristol and the South West since 1987. They offer culturally responsive services including weekend respite care, holiday play schemes, carers’ sessions (e.g. keep-fit, sewing, workshops), one-to-one advice, advocacy, family trips, and support navigating health and social services—all delivered in multiple community languages.
