Carers Support’s Befriending and Connection Service helpscarers aged 55 and over in Bristol and South Gloucestershire who may be feeling isolated or lonely. Carers are matched with a friendly volunteer befriender for weekly phone calls over six weeks, providing companionship, emotional support, and help connecting to local resources.
After the initial six weeks, carers can also be paired with another carer for ongoing peer support. As a telephone-based service, it’s ideal for those who cannot leave the person they care for.
This service is funded by The Grateful Society and The Dolphin Society.
We provide support, information and advice to carers of any age living in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
