FAB Cafés provide a relaxed, welcoming space for those aged 50 and over in Bristol to pop in, enjoy a cuppa, and share stories with neighbours—whether at local venues or from home via the telephone café. Each location is wheelchair-accessible and thoughtfully arranged to make everyone feel included and valued, helping you stay socially connected, uplifted, and supported across the city:
Age UK Bristol is a local charity supporting people aged 55 and over with free, confidential Information & Advice, a friendly New Beginnings Day Centre, and social opportunities through Friends Ageing Better (FAB). They also coordinate the Support Hub for Older People and publish “What’s On” guides with activities across the city. Services include help with benefits, housing, social care, and staying active and connected, with all support delivered by trained staff and volunteers. Based at the Withywood Centre, they offer appointments via their helpline (0117 929 7537), email, or online—no walk-ins.
