Milestones Trust offers short break (respite) care at two welcoming homes: Fairburn in Little Stoke and Stibbs House in St George. These services support adults with learning disabilities, including those with complex behavioural, physical and health needs. Guests enjoy a “home from home” experience with tailored support, daily routines if preferred, and a wide range of activities—from trips out to quiet time in the garden. Breaks can be booked in advance or used in emergencies. The service is designed to give carers peace of mind while their loved ones enjoy a safe and enjoyable stay.
A charitable organisation supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and complex behavioural conditions across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire. They offer a broad range of person-centred services, including supported living, residential and nursing care homes, short-break respite services, day opportunities, and community projects designed to help individuals live fulfilling, independent lives.

Free one or two night hotel stays across the country for unpaid carers. To be eligible you must be over 18 and a full time carer providing 30 hours or more care per week.
