The Harbour offers specialist counselling for adults who are close to someone facing death or dying. Whether you're a partner, family member, friend, or carer, this service provides a confidential and consistent space to explore your thoughts and feelings with a professionally trained counsellor.
Sessions are held weekly and tailored to your individual needs. You may wish to talk about your fears, relationships, or the emotional impact of illness. The Harbour’s counsellors are experienced in working with grief, loss, and bereavement, and adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics.
You can self-refer by completing an initial therapy enquiry form on The Harbour’s website: Start your self-referral. After referral, you’ll be contacted to arrange an assessment appointment before beginning your counselling sessions.
Offer counselling and emotional support for adults (18+) in Bristol and nearby areas who are facing a life-threatening illness, supporting someone who is dying, or been bereaved within the past two years.
