The Help at Home service from Autumn Years Community Care provides trusted, one-to-one support for people living with dementia and their carers. Delivered by trained and compassionate “Autumn Friends,” the service is designed to offer both practical help and emotional companionship.
Whether it’s light household tasks, attending local clubs, going for a walk, or simply enjoying a chat over coffee, your Autumn Friend is there to support your loved one—just like a good friend would. The service also gives carers valuable respite, knowing their loved one is safe, engaged, and well cared for.
Activities are tailored to individual interests and can include anything from baking and flower arranging to museum visits or dog walking. The aim is to reduce isolation, boost wellbeing, and help people stay active and connected.

Countrywide
Free one or two night hotel stays across the country for unpaid carers. To be eligible you must be over 18 and a full time carer providing 30 hours or more care per week.
