Who Are Young Adult Carers?

Young Adult Carers (YACs) are people aged 18-25 who provide care and support to a family member, friend, or partner due to disability, illness, mental health needs, or addiction. Balancing caring responsibilities with education, work, and personal life can be challenging, and you may not always recognise yourself as a carer.

Why This Support Matters

As a young adult carer, you may face unique challenges, including:

Managing studies, work, and caring duties.

Feeling isolated or overwhelmed.

Navigating financial pressures and accessing the right benefits.

Finding time for self-care and social life.

This section is here to help. Whether you need practical support, financial guidance, mental health resources, or simply a space to connect with others in a similar situation, you’ll find everything you need right here.
