New Carers Time Groups Across Bristol – Funded by and in partnership with Bristol Charities 

We’re pleased to announce the launch of three new monthly “Carers Time” groups for unpaid carers across Bristol — funded by Bristol Charities and delivered in partnership with Carers Support Bristol & South Gloucestershire. These friendly, welcoming sessions offer a chance to pause from caring, meet others who understand and feel part of a caring community.

Chipping Sodbury independent Walk and Talk group: building connections and community

For Carers Active April - The Chipping Sodbury Walk & Talk group started as a six‑week led series and quickly grew into a fortnightly peer‑support meeting where carers walk, chat and visit a café together. What began as outings now offers ongoing friendship, emotional support and a sense of belonging in the midst of caring.

Caring and Neurodiversity: Andy's Story

For Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Andy, a neurodivergent carer supporting both his parents while navigating his own ADHD, Asperger’s and dyslexia, shares a candid account of what it means to care and to be heard. This story highlights the added layers of care when you’re also understanding yourself — reminding us all that support needs to be personal and inclusive.
